Bill Leavengood is a two-time Eugene O’Neill playwright, an alumus of Circle Repertory and author of 19 full-length plays, 20 one acts, 5 books for musicals, 4 novels for young adults, and 11 feature length screenplays.

As a member of the Circle Repertory Company in New York from 1989-1996, he was involved in the Playwright's Lab where dozens of plays, including six of his own, were evolved and developed. He has taught Playwriting and Screenwriting for 15 years at Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg, FL. IN addition, he acted as Artistic Director for the LiveArts Peninsula Foundation from 2000-2005 where he worked with playwrights developing and producing more than a dozen original scripts.

Bill has been a guest lecturer and playwriting workshop leader at the Suncoast Writer's Conference, the PACT Program at Ruth Eckerd Hall, and the Florida Theatre Conference.

He has been independently contracted as a dramaturge by numerous individuals and organizations including the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center (Straz Performing Arts Center) and John Hopkins University.

As an acting coach, he has has worked one-on-one with numerous students on their college auditions and competition pieces, helping them earn spots in such competitive programs as Carnegie Mellon, NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and Northwestern University in Chicago.
